Regarding fees, I don’t have a one size fits all approach to my assessments. It is best to schedule a one-hour consultation with me to determine your unique needs, concerns, and what you are hoping to get out of the assessment. The initial consultation cost is $150, which will be deducted from the total assessment fee if you choose to work with me. Together, we can find an appropriate assessment plan.
Regarding insurance, I am considered an “Out-of-Network” provider in my private practice, meaning that I am not on any managed-care or preferred provider lists through insurance companies. My decision not to partner with insurance companies helps ensure that your therapy is kept confidential and that decisions about the assessment, length and treatment method will be made between you and me as a joint partnership. For those who wish to use their insurance to help with the assessment cost, I can provide you with a “Superbill” that you can submit to your insurance provider.
Many insurance plans offer some coverage for out-of-network services. If you are interested in using your insurance to cover a portion of our sessions, please contact your insurance company directly to determine their reimbursement policy for out-of-network providers. They will likely ask you for the CPT codes used for billing purposes. I suggest that you schedule a one-hour consultation meeting with me to discuss the assessment options and, thus, appropriate CPT codes.
